Step 3: Identify and Assign Server

You will need to identify a computer to designate it as the Proctor Caching Server.

NOTE: It is recommended to use the same computer you used as a caching server in the previous year.  

Download Proctor Caching Server Software  select link proctorcache installer

NOTE: During installation you will be asked if you want to uninstall the “old version” of the Proctor Caching Server.  Select “Yes”. The installation software will uninstall the old version and then install the new version of the caching server.

64 Bit MAC is not supported by Pearson this Spring.  We will not be using MACs for testing this spring.

Test accessing form for TestNav 7

1.  Launch TestNav using an industry-supported standard browser by typing in the following URL:http://tx.testnav.com/txqc

2.  Enter the following credentials in the login screen:

Username:  systemcheck7

Test Code: testcode7

3.  Click Login.

4.  If you see the “Congratulations” screen, you have correctly accessed a form through TestNav.

*NOTE:  The URL and credentials for student testing should be obtained from the student authorizations in Session Details.

The link for TestNav 7 online testing is https://tx.testnav.com/tx/ , this is the link that will be used by the students to take the test.  Enter this link in the web browser you will be using for testing.  (FireFox, Internet Explorer or Safari).
